Weekly roundup, Friday 14 Sep

The week had been very busy and hectic. I have new deadlines at work. So this state of affairs would continue till the end of this month. Chrish's CIMA exams are getting closer. She has mock exams next week. I have some work to be done on the car and hence will have to do without it the whole of next week. My nephew (sister's son) Caleb is so cute. He is just 18 months but expresses himself so well. Yesterday he had wanted batteries for his organ. He had kept his hands near his ears (similar to holding a mobile phone) and had said 'Uncle Ronney bring babba battery'. He had done this all throughout the day. Later that evening I went there with some batteries and you should see his expressions and excitement. I definitely missed my digital camera.

A thought I would like to share with you is from what I shared at last week's evening Gospel Service (yes, I had to preach twice in a row) combined with the Sunday morning message given by a brother from Canada. The true God, who created the universe, is a God of love. He doesn't want anyone to perish. He even maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.(Matthew 5:45) In general he shows His goodness to all men, whether they acknowledge it or not. Man ignorantly acknowledges God’s goodness to his ‘good time’, his ‘good deeds from his previous births’ and such other things. But the day a man realizes how much God loves him/her, he/she will be a changed man/woman. God has already loved you and shows His love towards you in so many ways everyday in your life (apart from the fact that God's Son Christ Jesus sacrificed Himslef for your sins, so that you could be pardoned if you believed in His sacrifice). But if you continue to say 'NO' to His love, then you may have to spend eternity away from Him. More...

Weekly roundup, Friday 7 Sep

Well here is my first weekly roundup. On the work front, I had some tough deadline to meet and by the grace of God I was able to complete the work well ahead of time. There are lots of changes at my workplace but I am not permitted to blog details about this in a public post. Chrish still hasn’t found the time to pen her post regarding her new phone. She is busy day and night attending lectures and studying for her CIMA final examinations.Weather wise it has been relatively warm but nice climates. Actually I was hoping that it would rain cats and dogs according to Reuters weather report.

Last Sunday I had to preach at the evening Gospel service. I shared about how God has prepared us “all” things and all we need to do is to come to Him in faith and receive freely all He has to offer us. This starts at Salvation where you accept the pardon and forgiveness of sins that he offers freely on account of the sacrifice of His dear Son Christ Jesus. From then on we start enjoying all things he has prepared for us. Also I stressed on the fact that these invitations are open to all and there is no ceiling on the numbers that he can accommodate. Even you can avail this right at this very minute. I finished with the wonderful verse

“But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.“ 1Corinthians 2:9

The question today is not whether God loves you because God has already showed how much he loves you.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.“ John 3:16

The real question is whether you are ready to receive this love and to love Him back. What is your answer my friend? More...
