Ella Vacation

I was not able to update this blog for four months because of the workload at office. Finally I decided enough is enough and took some time off. There was a wedding invitation from Newburg in the hill country and hence we decided to spend a weekend at Ella. Chrish mother too wanted a break so she too joined us on the trip.

We left for Ella by train. We had reserved seats in the Observation Saloon. It was a beautiful journey which spanned about 10 hours and covered most parts of central Sri Lanka. All along the journey we witnessed picturesque mountains, tunnels and greenery. More...

Chrish's "TOPCIMA classes" a miracle

Chrish wanted to continue with the current tutor for her TOPCIMA too. However TOPCIMA classes at every Institute were held on Sunday mornings. That means Chrish will not be able to attend any TOPCIMA class because we will be worshiping God at that time. Now you may ask if it is compulsory for a Christian to worship God every Sunday morning. The answer is No. It is true that so many are identified as Christians because they go to a "church" every Sunday. However there is no such rule or commandment. The commandment to rest the seventh day doesn't apply in the New Testament age because the seventh day is actually Saturday. Christians worship God on Sunday because it was the first day of the week and it was on the first day of the week that Jesus Christ rose from the dead. Then why can't Chrish attend CIMA classes on Sunday mornings. It is for the simple fact that we need to give first preference to God in our lives. Since all like minded Christians in our locality gather together on Sundays to worship God we need make sure that we too join them.

The Holy Bible says: "Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all other things shall be added unto you." Mat 6:33

Let me now tell you what happened to Chrish. More...

CIMA battle

CIMA qualification, to me, became a difficult dream to ever come true after I came down in two subjects in May 2002 examinations. My parents forced me to take a break thinking that I am stressed. Nevertheless the struggle continued. I somehow wanted to finish CIMA but I began to fear the prospect of failure. The remaining confidence too disappeared in 2004, when I discovered that I have Auto Immune Thyroiditis. Now for me CIMA became the Impossible Dream. More...

My take on Nokia 3110c

I know I am a bit late to write my opinion on the phone. But better late than never!

I was very busy with my CIMA strategic level examinations during the last six months. Since I got a week before I start my TOPCIMA, I thought that this time is quite ideal. More...
